Ta-Da! I’m the father of a beautiful little….blob. That’s okay though, since it’s only 7 weeks old. According to BabyCenter.com, the baby is the size of a blueberry. Every time I think of that, I’m reminded of the old Willy Wonka movie: “I’ve got a blueberry for a daughter…”
I wasn’t able to make it to the ultrasound (which I really wanted to go to), but my wife made sure to tell me how much I would have loved it and how cool it was. Thanks, hun!
It’s probably better that I didn’t go, because being such a tech-geek, I probably would have asked way too many questions about how it worked and what each button does, and at some point try to wrestle the hand-held scanner thing out of the mid-wife’s hand and do it myself. “You break it, you buy it!” I can see my wife’s eyes rolling now…
Baby and Mom are doing very well, and everything is right on track. Heartbeat is very strong and steady.
